The Bible provides us with numerous examples and teachings that encourage us to keep our focus on the eternal life that awaits us. 1. Jesus, the ultimate example of faith, constantly pointed His followers towards heaven. In John 14:2-3, Jesus assures us, "In my Father's house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also."

2. The Apostle Paul, inspired by the Holy Spirit, gave us a beautiful perspective on eternity in 2 Corinthians 4:17-18: "For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison, as we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal."
